Don’t tell me you hate him
the opposite of love isn’t hate, the opposite of love is lack of interest. If you didn’t care at all you wouldn’t hate. They wouldn’t take up any space in your mind but you do care don’t you?
I know you care because you’ve convinced yourself that you hate him, that you don’t love him anymore but darling isn’t it true that you can both love and hate, that one doesn’t cancel out the other?
I know you think hating him is the answer but all it does is that resentment to the unreciprocated affection like alcohol on a wound.
One day you won’t care anymore, one day the love will dissolve, but hating him will only prolong the time it takes to forget or worse yet the love will dissolve and all you have left is hate and what a sorry waste of emotion that would be to spend time feeling things about a person you don’t even love anymore. Don’t let that happen — or when someone else comes along who wants to love you forever, you can’t let them into your heart due to how much hate is taking up.
Hate towards another person who doesn’t even love you, who doesn’t even hate you, who doesn’t even think of you anymore. Don’t tell me you hate him because isn’t that just another way to say love?
