You ever wonder if the moon is chasing the sun? If the moon is infatuated with the sun, chasing his in hopes that they can be together like lovers should?

I was walking around a field this evening, and the sky was split in two. On one side the sky was light blue, with a pink and purple around the horizon as the sun set and continued his adventure elsewhere.

As I turned the other way the light blue got darker, until on the other side it was almost black and a full moon was starting to rise. He looked beautiful as he shined. And as I walked the thought of the infatuation crossed my mind. It felt right, the thought that there was love between the two that we see up above us.

But the sad truth is, they will never be able to fully be together. There will always just be a chase. Every now and then they overlap, but that is only brief, the game of cat and mouse beginning again immediately after. This made me sad, but it also took my breath away as I looked at them.

The song I was listening to ends, and this love story in my mind ends. I pick a new song, I continue walking.
